This position involves clinical public health nursing work to promote health of individuals and impact communicable disease rates and improve access to high quality medical care. JCPH provides comprehensive Title X services, testing, management, and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIVto diverse patient populations. This position is within the JCPH Clinic Services Division which provides immunizations, communicable disease control, family planning and sexual health, and harm reduction services to our community. Description: Jefferson County Public Health is currently hiring an Advance Practice Provider (APP) in our Sexual Health Clinic. This position involves clinical public health nursing work to promote health of individuals and impact communicable disease rates and improve access to high quality medical care. JCPH provides comprehensive Title X services, testing, management, and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIVto diverse patient populations. This position is within the JCPH Clinic Services Division which provides immunizations, communicable disease control, family planning and sexual health, and harm reduction services to our community. This position must be comfortable seeing gender diverse patients both in a clinic setting and conducting outreach with community partners, including homeless centers and correctional facilities. Works as part of a team to deliver high-quality medical care. This part-time position has the option of a set, but flexible work schedule with at least 20 hours falling on Monday-Thursday, 0700-1730. This position requires onsite work to be performed at our Lakewood Clinic location and at community/outreach clinics. Anticipated Hire Range: $88,700.00 - $105,000.00 USD Annual ($44.77 - $58.32 Hourly) Work hours per week are flexible and would be no less than 20 and no more than 29. Total Base Pay Range: 75,816.35 - 98,561.26 - 121,306.16 USD Annual Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. Consultation with attending providers as needed. Determines and assesses the health status of patients by reviewing records, taking comprehensive medical histories, and performing physical examinations. Initiates, performs, or directs other healthcare professionals to perform screenings and diagnostic tests. Monitors and evaluates medical condition of patient. Makes decisions regarding treatment changes and refers patient to specialized services as needed. Orders and administers appropriate medications. Completes required EHR documentation thoroughly, and in a timely manner. Participates in clinical education of healthcare students as assigned. Involvement in clinical coordination and special projects, including administrative tasks as Assigned. Attends and participates in program, division and Department meetings. Utilizes the principles and practices of effective communication to elicit information, negotiate problem resolution, and/or garner support for various programs or policies. Follows established departmental policies and procedures and adheres to any quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Perform procedures, including the insertion and removal of IUD's and contraceptive implants, cryosurgery, and colposcopy. Conducts clinical activities as defined in the privileging documents for this provider. Additional medical service lines may be developed to meet local public health needs, and provision of those services required, with appropriate training and support.
