  • Create highly engaging, aesthetically pleasing materials for multiple audiences and purposes.
  • Serve as a liaison between the department and printing vendors.
  • Supervise complex print jobs.
  • Oversee the use of department branding.
  • Assist with the marketing of programs that promote the department’s mission.
  • Actively participate in communications team brainstorming and planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with communications team on public awareness communication campaigns.
  • Assist in creating and managing content calendars for social media accounts.
  • Collect, prepare, interpret, and communicate informational material to support and/or promote department programs, initiatives, and services to internal and external audiences.
  • Create materials that employ accessibility features, as defined by the ADA.
  • Compose and edit text and graphic, video, and photographic illustrations for distribution to the general public.
  • Work closely with internal staff and agency partners to share information creatively and timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.


COMPETENCIES :

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising practices and techniques.
  • Knowledge of general principles of layout and design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required.


Beneficial education and/or work-related experience includes technical or professional experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, journalism, art, or a related field.
