What you’ll do:

    • Consult with community groups, residential treatment providers and individuals regarding quality assurance and improvement programs.
    • Coordinate the evaluation and assessment of internal systems, procedures, practices, and outcomes; examines input from staff, and relationships and interactions between Children’s Division and stakeholders.
    • Oversee the identification of programs’ needs, goals, available resources, challenges, strengths, and deficiencies to achieve improved delivery of services.
    • Participate and monitor the development of recommendations and/or action plans detailing corrective actions, alternatives, and/or strategies.
    • Provide training, technical assistance, and consultation for Children’s Service Workers and/or Supervisors on various topics as assigned in the geographic region.
    • Provide specialized training to enforce or enhance performance of individual employees, as needed.
    • Interacts with law enforcement and juvenile officers, other public officials, and community organizations regarding family and children issues.
    • Attend court hearings and meetings related to assigned casework.
    • Conduct monthly onsite visits and consultations at residential treatment facilities.
    • Verify a child’s eligibility; approves/denies treatment extensions; reviews treatment and progress reports from provider.
    • Review and approves payments; ensures expenditures are within the authorized residential care budget.
    • Serve as liaison between Children’s Division, residential facilities, and Show Me Healthy Kids (Managed Care Plan).
    • Participate in various work groups at local and state levels and perform other related work, as needed.
    • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in the performance of assigned duties.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications:

This is professional work involving the assessment and coordination of residential treatment services of youth in the custody of the Children’s Division. Work includes the development and implementation of quality assurance/improvement programs, case consultations, monitoring of residential contract, and treatment planning for youth referred receiving care in a residential setting. Knowledge of residential treatment programs, outcomes, and treatment philosophies is required to ensure compliance with agency policy, best practices, and agency contracts.
