    • Create highly engaging content for the department’s social media accounts
    • Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments, track analytics, and provide analyses
    • Write clear, attractive messages with a distinct voice that represent the department and the services available to Missourians
    • Collaborate with communications team on public awareness communication campaigns
    • Create and manage content calendar for social media accounts
    • Collect, prepare, interpret, and communicate informational material to support and/or promote department programs, initiatives, and services to internal and external audiences
    • Compose and edit text and graphic, video, and photographic content for distribution
    • Collaborate with department photographer/videographer to create photo and video content for social media
    • Travel to events to provide live social media coverage
    • Brainstorm and present social media campaigns to achieve department objectives
    • Work closely with internal staff and agency partners to share information creatively and timely
    • Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
    • Serve internally as the liaison for the Office of Workforce Development
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance


    COMPETENCIES :

    • Strong written and oral communications skills required
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong creative skills
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Best practices for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
    • Knowledge of marketing and advertising practices and techniques
    • Knowledge of general principles of layout and design
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite highly preferred
    • Photography and video experience preferred


    • Beneficial education and/or work related experience includes technical or professional experience in business, personnel or public administration or closely related area, including military service
