Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Hours may vary based on program needs

Responsibilities
The Neighborhood Outreach Manager is responsible for connecting the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division with various community stakeholders. Employees in this role will build and maintain relationships between the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division and various community organizations, faith-based groups, schools, hospitals, and businesses. This role is also responsible for planning and executing Aim4Peace events. This position requires flexibility, often involving non-regular work hours, including weekends and evenings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Performs operations analysis, manages budgets, handles personnel matters, and ensures compliance with operating rules and regulations.
- Serves as a liaison between the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division and other programs, departments, agencies, and community groups.
- Represents the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division in meetings and conferences involving city officials, the general public, and private groups.
- Crafts and delivers presentations to community-based organizations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community, faith-based, residential, and non-profit organizations, schools, hospitals, and businesses to support the Aim4Peace Program.
- Plans and executes community events.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in private, public, or community healthcare, community sanitation, health inspections, health education, data analysis, or related healthcare fields.; OR an accredited Master's degree in Public Health and two (2) years of experience in private, public, or community healthcare, community sanitation, health inspections, health education, data analysis, or related healthcare fields.; OR a High School Diploma and eight (8) years of experience in private, public, or community healthcare, community sanitation, health inspections, health education, data analysis, or related healthcare fields. Must pass a preemployment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
