What You'll Be DoingThe Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Supervisor oversees a team of nine responsible for managing ongoing FNS cases within the Economic Services Division at the Human Services Center - Somerset campus. This position provides daily supervision and administrative oversight for case managers and one administrative professional, working in close collaboration with the FNS Program Manager. This a hybrid opportunity, requiring 2 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a team environment built on open communication, collaboration, and excellent customer service
- Share comprehensive knowledge of Human Services programs and available resources
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all staff work
- Conduct case reviews and document findings in relevant databases
- Communicate policy updates, procedural changes, and program impacts to staff
- Handle HR functions including hiring, performance evaluations, and issue resolution
- Participate in the management team and attend required meetings
- Meet deadlines across Economic Services programs including FNS, Family Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, and Work First

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree
- Three years of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Experience in State or County Department of Health and Human Services
- Current or previous supervisory or team lead experience
- 3+ years determining eligibility for Medicaid, FNS, and/or Work First
- Proficient in NCFAST and electronic document systems (e.g., OnBase)
