    Overview

    One Agency, One Mission: Public Safety

    Larimer County Jail is seeking a Part-time Jail Program Specialist TEMP to provide program services within the facility. The Jail Program Specialist TEMP may be responsible for facilitating various programs, answering legal mail, orienting volunteers, and delivering supplies. The Jail Program Specialist TEMP will have contact with the inmates and may help escort them within the Jail.

    Responsibilities

    • May develop program curriculum, services, and lesson plans.
    • Escort of inmates, volunteers, and visitors during programs.
    • Work cohesively with other Program Services team members.
    • Oversee inmate visitation services and act as a liaison for related programs and the public.
    • Provide administrative support for visitation services and maintain accurate records.
    • Implement emergency procedures as necessary.


    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • One (1) year of experience in a directly related field or the performance of similar duties and responsibilities is required.
    • Experience working in a correctional or similar setting is preferred.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
    • Must pass a background investigation, a Polygraph, and a drug screening

    An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment testing. Successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
