    Why you’ll love this position:

As a Regional Program Coordinator (RPC) for the Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) program, you will play a vital role in improving access to breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment for women. You will enjoy dynamic and purpose-driven work providing professional development, technical assistance, community outreach, and ongoing collaboration with providers in your region. If you're looking for diverse opportunities, challenging work, good benefits, and a place where you can make a life-long impact, we want to talk to you about becoming a part of our SMHW team.

    • Provide patient navigation services to potential clients when they are referred to the SMHW program through community partners or other agencies to identify and reduce barriers to care by providing appropriate referrals to access breast and cervical cancer screenings.
    • Ensure that the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) and American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) guidelines as well as SMHW contract deliverables are met pertaining to breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostics through consultation and technical assistance to SMHW providers.
    • Provide on-site or virtual trainings for new and existing SMHW providers and identified key staff members to ensure thorough knowledge of program requirements, annual updates, client eligibility and program enrollment, MOHSAIC data entry and corrections, and claims submissions.
    • Respond to phone calls or emails in a timely manner from providers, subcontractors, and the general public regarding the SMHW program including eligibility and enrollment questions, program description, SMHW guidelines, and billing.
    • Prepare for and conduct on-site quality assurance monitoring visits of SMHW providers to assure program compliance. If deficiencies identified, prepare a corrective action plan and conduct appropriate follow-up visits and necessary training.
    • Address and resolve alerts generated by MOHSAIC data entry that provides notification of abnormal test results for clients. The RPC is responsible for reviewing these alerts in MOHSAIC and corresponding with the provider to ensure that client completes needed diagnostic follow-up and/or treatment. Assist with enrollment into the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment (BCCT) Mo Healthnet program.
    • Evaluate minimum data element (MDE) items and attempt to correct/resolve issues with MOHSAIC data entry through communication with provider to obtain missing or incorrectly entered information. RPC makes correction and appropriate notations in the MOHSAIC system based on information received.
    • Collaborate with fellow SMHW staff to develop and/or improve program processes such as data entry, claims processing, quality assurance, provider educational opportunities, and program manual updates.
    • Participate in community engagement and outreach opportunities to provide information pertaining to the SMHW program and the importance of breast and cervical cancer screenings to the public.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Registered Nurse required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
    • Four or more years of experience desired in women's health, oncology, public health, community outreach, and/or health education.
    • Knowledge and ability to provide technical assistance and professional trainings on evidence-based breast and cervicl cancer screening and diagnostic guidelines, clinical practice, claims billing, and federal and state laws regarding the Show Me Healthy Women program.
    • Demonstrated experience working with various partners, including local public health agencies, hospital systems, federally qualified health centers, and community based action agencies.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience using technology and various computer programs (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video-conferencing such as WebEx or Microsoft Teams) to coordinate activities and assist providers with program requirements.
