Why you’ll love this position:The Missouri Senate is seeking a skilled and motivated Multimedia Specialist to support the communications efforts of the 34 senators that make up the body. This role requires a highly collaborative professional with at least two years of experience in video production and expert-level proficiency in the video production process and Adobe Creative Suite -particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition . The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, able to work effectively with people across the ideological spectrum and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast paced work environment.
- Write, produce, shoot and edit video content that informs and engages the public on the actions of the 34 senators and the senate as a whole.
- Manage the full multimedia production cycle-from concept and scripting to filming, editing and post-production.
- Collaborate with senators, senators’ staff and department heads to develop content that reflects the goals and values of the organization.
- Maintain a well-organized digital asset library and manage video file archiving and version control.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications: - At least 2 years of professional experience in multimedia or video production.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition.
- Demonstrated ability to write scripts and develop multimedia content for a general audience.
- Experience operating video cameras, lighting and audio equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with a wide range of individuals, including those without media or technical backgrounds.
- Strong time-management, organizational and project coordination abilities.
- A portfolio or demo reel of recent video work is required .
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working within government or nonprofit organizations, or familiarity with the legislative process and public sector communications.
- Experience creating motion graphics and animation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Production, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
