The current rate for this position is $1,959.35 semi-monthly. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
This is professional work involving a variety of business management activities or support service functions such as invoice processing, fiscal controls, and service contracts with the Division of Youth Services in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The following tasks are the responsibility of the Administrative Support Assistant:
- Processes invoices for the entire division according to internal and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains spreadsheets and databases.
- Maintains fiscal records and files, ensuring organization and accuracy of work.
- Reviews purchase requests for accuracy and completion; enters purchase requests into fiscal tracking system.
- Organizes work, establishing priorities and maintaining deadlines.
- Exercises independent judgment and initiative in the performance of duties under general supervision.
- Communicates openly and effectively with DYS regional staff, Department staff, and state wide vendors
- Performs other related work as assigned.
One to three years of clerical experience in fiscal or budgetary controls, procurement, accounting or bookkeeping, or closely related areas, and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
Preferred qualifications:Invoice processing, record keeping, extensive understanding of Microsoft Office explicitly Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, proficient in Missouri Buys and SAM II.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the required general experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year.)
