South County Habilitation Center currently has an opening for a full-time Food Service Supervisor. This position is benefit eligible and will work Monday through Friday, with Saturday/Sunday and holidays as regular days off. The working hours will be 9:30am to 6:00pm.
What you'll do: - Monitor the preparation and serving of food at the facilities. Train, assist and oversee direct care staff in meal preparation, including special diets, and in adhering to physician prescribed diet texture orders.
- Follow basic dietetic principles to coordinate and audit meals, monitor food supplies and supplements in homes to ensure home staff have the necessary items to follow individual Dr. diet orders
- Ensure workplace standards of cleanliness are maintained by inspecting kitchens and dining room for cleanliness, sanitation practices, and food safety compliance.
- Complete requisitions for food and supply items, maintain food services records and prepare milk, bread, condiment, and individual home food staple orders for the Food Distribution Center.
- Assist in QA/QE monitoring as assigned, including meal observations, and assist in other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must have computer skills including use of computer to order from vendors, use printer, must have driver’s license, operate gas powered Cushman, have knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals including MSDS
Eligibility Requirement: Associate degree or 4 or more years of food service experience.
Current DMH employees will not be eligible to apply if they have received a disciplinary action within the last 6 months.
