Overview
We’re looking for a Program Specialist to join Community Justice Alternatives (CJA) and coordinate the Useful Public Service (UPS) program within the Alternative Sentencing Department. This program gives individuals the opportunity to complete court-ordered service hours in ways that benefit our community.
In this role, you’ll help create positive change through restorative justice initiatives-supporting accountability, growth, and community connection. It’s meaningful work where you can see the direct impact of your efforts every day.

This position's schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:- Providing customer service and answering questions about County and department policies.
- Interviewing clients for Court-Ordered Useful Public Service (UPS) and assigning placements.
- Processing UPS documentation and sharing progress with supervising agencies.
- Sending reminders for upcoming deadlines.
- Maintaining program files and records.
- Entering and updating data accurately in department systems.
What we're looking for:- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Solid computer skills and comfort learning new systems.
Qualifications

- Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
