In addition to the current opening, this recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future Senior Human Resource Analyst positions throughout the Department of Natural Resources & Parks (DNRP) over the next six months.
About this Role:This senior-level position will mainly focus on employee maintenance processes, including all HR-related functions after the hire. This includes administering the Performance Appraisal process, managing employee status changes, and managing data. This position will also conduct full-cycle recruitment as needed, and provide technical advice, recommendations, and determinations on complex and/or sensitive human resource issues.

- Ensure timely and accurate HRIS and HCM entries and documentation. This includes Position Management, step increases, and coordinating with the budget and payroll groups.
- Coordinate and oversee the design of databases for information requests; coordinate the preparation of statistical reports, graphs, charts, and other reports.
- Coordinate and monitor the New Employee Orientation process and Employee Integration Process. Develop process as needed.
- Conduct Full-cycle recruitment as needed. Provide recruitment and hiring support to hiring managers throughout the division. Ensure compliance with Title VII, ADA, and other nondiscrimination laws, practices, and policies when administering employment processes.
- Coordinate development and implementation of specialized human resources programs, projects, and recommendations
- Back-up Leaves Management Specialist as needed
- Recognize process improvement opportunities and create/revise processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, SkillsQualifications You Bring: - Increasingly responsible human resource generalist experience, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruiting.
- Expert-level skills using Human Resource Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, NeoGov).
- Experience advising, coaching, and training managers and supervisors in HR business processes and providing recruitment and hiring support to hiring managers and recruitment teams.
- Experience in using queries to pull data, creating reports, and analyzing data, preparation of statistical reports, graphs, charts, and other reports.
- Knowledge and experience in King County Performance Evaluation and Merit Pay Process
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft programs for document and spreadsheet production, presentation development, project management, and data analysis (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).
- Increasingly responsible experience in processing and managing protected leaves, including disability accommodation requests and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
- Skilled in recognizing areas of process improvement and creating processes to ensure efficient workflow.

Supplemental InformationWorking Conditions:- Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements 2 days a week. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. On-site reporting locations may be at various King County worksites, including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department’s vision.
- Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance of King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is non-represented.
