The Assistant County Manager is the assistant chief administrator of County government and has broad responsibilities for County operations.

Gaston County is governed by a 7 member Board of Commissioners who serve 4 year terms. Gaston County follows the Council/Manager form of government.

 

First review of candidates May 24, 2019. Interviews expected to be in Gaston County in early June 2019.

Job Description

Gaston County if seeking for its new Assistant County Manager a respected leader and manager who is well-versed in finance and budgeting, economic development and county operations. He/she must work effectively with the County Manager.

Job Requirements

The new Assistant County Manager is required to possess a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration or a related field.
