Position InformationThis recruitment is to create an eligibility list and fill three vacancies. The positions will be staffed at the Operator II or III level, depending on candidate qualifications.These positions are currently scheduled to work five days per week, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and may include coverage of weekends (typically every third week), depending on staff assignment. This shift is subject to change with notice from management. Employees may be required to work varying shifts on weekdays, weekends, holidays, and standby/on call hours for emergency callservices.
The Operator level II and III positions require possession of an active Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate at that particular Grade level, or higher, issued by the State of California. Applicants must attach a copy of their valid certificate.

- has experience working with computer based wastewater process control systems such as SCADA systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS);
- and has good analytical, reasoning, and problem solving skills.

Experience : One year of experience performing duties similar to those assigned to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I level.
Education : Completion of specialized training in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant and equipment.
Necessary Special Requirement : Possession of a Grade II or higher, active Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State of California.
Additional Requirement : Possession of a valid California Driver License.OPERATOR III
Experience : Two years of experience performing duties similar to those assigned to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II.
Education : Completion of specialized training in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant and equipment plus additional college level course work in chemistry, biology or a related science.
