Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Civil Rights & Compliance Office and Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Director and Investigator implements the California State University (CSU) Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence Stalking, and Retaliation executive order.

Department Summary

CRCO is responsible for the University's compliance with critical federal and state laws and regulations and CSU system policies and procedures. In particular, CRCO addresses matters regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, Clery and public safety, whistleblower protection, and conflict of interest.

Key Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to capture verbal allegations and statements in writing, remain an objective and neutral fact-finder, apply the facts in the record to the appropriate legal analysis/theory, draft reports that are cogent, factually accurate and legally sound recommending the appropriate disposition on each issue, and handle sensitive cases that may be high-profile and emotionally charged in a prudent and confidential manner. Demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact, good judgment, discretion, and diplomacy, and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse population, including co-workers, students, management, faculty, and off campus entities. Demonstrated ability to make good decisions and accept accountability for outcomes. Excellent language skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Skilled in research and analysis techniques.

Salary and Benefits
The anticipated hiring range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 annually. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.
