Tax Increment Financing: Vineyard's Redevelopment Agency, one of Utah's largest, provides essential infrastructure funding through tax increment financing, allowing proactive community development. The City of Moab is seeking a Parks, Recreation & Trails Director to join this vibrant community of 5,300 located along the Colorado River in rugged southeastern Utah. The City serves a population of 5,300 with a budget of $24 million and a team of 89 FTEs and 102 PTEs.    As the primary purveyor of public parks and recreation services to the region, the Parks and Recreation Department oversees the upkeep, planning, and improvement of the City parks and trail systems; administers traditional sports leagues; manages an aquatic center; and develops creative programming in partnership with other community organizations across the City. The Director is in charge of supervising and coordinating these varied functions along with their capital programming needs, and is also responsible for the planning, development, and long-term health of Moab’s urban trail network.
