    Job Description

    Office of the President/Enrollment Management

    Student Services Professional IV

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    Family and Supporter Program (Lead): Develops and implements a comprehensive family and supporter program, ensuring families and supporters are engaged throughout the student enrollment lifecycle. Creates a robust web presence and communication plan that follows the enrollment lifecycle and addresses the key needs of family members and supporters. Coordinates outreach efforts, trainings, presentations, and resources to guide families through the enrollment process.

    Faculty Ambassador Program (Lead): Enhances and administers all aspects of the Faculty Ambassador Program in close coordination with faculty and the Director of Admissions & Recruitment. Coordinates and fosters faculty involvement in the enrollment process by developing initiatives that strengthen faculty participation in recruitment and outreach activities. Works closely with the Director of Admissions & Recruitment to ensure programming aligns with recruitment and yield goals.

    Alumni Ambassador Program (Lead/Support): Collaborates with Career Development & Alumni Engagement and Admissions & Recruitment to administer the Alumni Ambassador Program in alignment with recruitment and yield goals. Assists with developing strategies to engage alumni as ambassadors, leveraging their experiences and networks to promote the University and support enrollment efforts. Helps to ensure program is effectively administered and outcomes achieved.

    Diversity Programming (Support): Supports the development and implementation of enrollment management initiatives, particularly those targeted at special student populations. Supports recruitment, communication, and programming efforts related to diversity programming, which includes grants. Collaborates with campus partners to report on activity and progress, ensuring accurate documentation on achievement of outcomes.

    Liaison and Cross-Area Collaboration (Support): Serves as a liaison for the AVP for EM, facilitating communication and collaboration between Enrollment Management and other campus departments. Works closely with campus partners to ensure alignment and coordination of enrollment initiatives. Participates in cross-area teams and committees to advance enrollment-related goals and strategies.

    Project Coordination and Leadership (Support): Leads and oversees special projects that align with strategic enrollment goals, that cross multiple EM departments/units ensuring that all projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Oversees timelines for new program rollouts, enrollment initiatives, and other critical projects, ensuring that deadlines are met.

    Training, Retreats, and Event Coordination (Lead): Coordinates and facilitates professional development events, retreats, and training sessions for the Enrollment Management area. Develops event materials, agendas, and timelines to ensure smooth execution of events and activities. Promotes continuous learning by identifying and addressing training needs within the Enrollment Management area.

    Communication and Reporting (Lead): Assists the AVP with developing and producing annual reports summarizing key initiatives, accomplishments, and ongoing projects within Enrollment Management. Prepares and distributes newsletters or other forms of communication to keep internal and external stakeholders informed on key updates and initiatives. Collaborates with other departments to ensure that reports and communications are clear, concise, and engaging.

    Other Duties as Assigned (Support): Performs other related duties as required to support the goals and operations of the Enrollment Management area.

    REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

    Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in supporting enrollment and retention initiatives.

    Other Knowledge/Skills: Proven ability to be a team player and team builder; to lead and share leadership; and to work for the greater good of the Enrollment Management area. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, decision making, conflict resolution, multi-tasking, and exercising good judgment in a fast pace, dynamic, deadline driven environment. Ability to work with a diverse constituency from prospective students, families, and alumni. Ability to develop, implement, and market new programs. Ability to communicate, engage, and develop rapport with individuals of diverse cultural, social, and religious backgrounds, and varied age, gender, sexual orientation, and military status. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated by a pronounced sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student body; demonstrated experience working with diverse students, faculty, staff and community populations and proven ability to create an inclusive and welcoming campus environment. Must be able to demonstrate respect and integrate cultural sensitivity when providing support. Extensive knowledge of student security and privacy requirements including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Demonstrated experience with budgets and tracking of funding related to programs and initiatives. Must be willing to work flexible hours with advance notice for signature recruitment and yield events.

    A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.     The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment.

    The person holding this position is considered a ‘Campus Security Authority (CSA)’ to report crimes for the federally mandated Clery Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1107 revised March 24, 2017 as a condition of employment.

    Hiring Salary: $6,320 - $7,500 per month
