Who We Are Orlando Venues has been the proud home to Central Florida’s best in sports and entertainment since its inception in 1989. The dynamic City of Orlando department operates five distinct venues including Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, Mennello Museum of American Art and Harry P. Leu Gardens. Between hosting high-profile sporting events like Wrestlemania, NFL Pro Bowl and NBA All-Star Weekend to big-name concerts and music festivals like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Harry Styles, Beyoncé and EDC Orlando to family shows, art exhibitions and countless other diverse offerings, our venues cater to residents and tourists alike year-round while enhancing the quality of life throughout our community.

Nature of Work: VENUES Performs supervisory and semi-skilled manual work involving the preparation, change-over, and general maintenance of entertainment or convention facilities, grounds and athletic fields. Employees assigned to this classification supervise crews of workers that perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks involving above-average physical effort, and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills and the ability to work without frequent supervision. Knowledge and experience of setting up and maintaining Hockey, NBA Basketball, Arena Football and concerts. Work is performed under supervision of Operations Supervisor and or Operations Manager and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, meetings, and review of work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
and other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
High School diploma
plus two (2) years of Arena or Convention Center or Stadium experience in assigned area, one of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity; or supervisory capacity; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Supplemental Information
City of Orlando Benefits If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
